Membership Fees


Ordinary Membership (Full fees) from 2010

Ordinary Members are elected to the Society in January and July of each year. The subscription rates are as follows;

January applications: Deadline date for January 2011 Applications Monday 10 December 2010

Membership only £ 53.00
Membership + Diagnostic Histopathology £153.00
Membership + Journal of Pathology £112.00
Membership + Diagnostic Histopathology & Journal of Pathology £212.00

July applications: Deadline date for July 2011 Applications Friday 15 April 2011

Membership only £ 26.50
Membership + Diagnostic Histopathology £126.50
Membership + Journal of Pathololgy £ 85.50
Membership + Diagnostic Histopathology & Journal of Pathology £185.50

Ordinary Membership (Concessionary Fees) is £10.00 per year. Concessionary members are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year pending ratification of their membership at the Committee meeting that is nearest the date of their membership application. Concessionary rates are available until appointed to a substantive Academic or Consultant position (or equivalent) membership will then automatically be transferred to Ordinary Membership. Ordinary membership fees will then apply.

Please note - All membership applications must be submitted with the first year’s (or 6 months where relevant) subscription payment. This is payable by cheque if you are resident in the UK or credit card if you are an overseas applicant. See the paragraph entitled ‘Submitting your Membership Application’ for full details of the documentation you must provide with your application.

Annual Subscription Fees

UK Members

Subscription fees are collected in January of each year by direct debit. A direct debit mandate instruction with information of a UK bank account must be submitted with your membership application.

Overseas Members

If you are based overseas and do not have a UK bank account subscription fees are collected in January of each year by credit/debit card. (If a UK bank account exists please submit a direct debit mandate instruction with your membership application). A credit card authorization form with details of a valid credit/debit card number must be submitted with your membership application.

Sponsorship of Membership Applications

All membership applications must be sponsored by a Member of the Society in a Consultant/substantive post. If a Society member is not known to you personally please contact your local Pathology Department who will give you details of Society members who may be willing to act as a sponsor.
